we always see some phenomence that the old often stand up in the bus,in the public,while the young are sit in the seats leisurely.so we have to think highly of this problem,weather we should give seats to the old.
As we know ,respecting the old and taking care of the child is the tradition sprit of our country,when we attend school .our teacher give us elementary education , that is respecting the old and taking care of the young,but we feel bittterly when some adults ingore the old ,they sit the seat play mobile phone ,siting with their legs crossed.even worse ,theirs behaviors are not good to childrent. It is not advantage for social developments . it influence our images of our country.in my opinion, the elder are devoted all their youth for life,now ,they should have a happy life,i think the authorities concerned should imphasis the importance on politeness,as the old says:condect decide everything.we should form the good habit of politiness ,undoubtful,we should give seat to the elder.

Every time when I get on the bus, I won't choose to sit down in the first row, because these seats are often offered to the old and sick people. So as a teenager, sometimes I feel guilty to sit down. In the last decades, we had been educated to let the old and sick people to sit down in the bus. It was the tradition to respect the old in China. But from the news, we have witnessed some old people are rude. They thought it was their privilege to have the seat, so when they weren't offered the seat in the bus, they blamed the young people. Actually, it is the young people's choice to decide whether they want to offer the seat or not. The old people should be gratitude and be nice to the one who help them.

Recently, we’ve had a discussion about whether we should offer seats to old people on the bus. Our opinions are divided on this topic.
Most of the students are in favor of it. In their views, there are two factors contributing to this attitude as follows: on the one hand, there is no doubt that this behavior is our traditional virtue(美德), so it is our duty. On the other hand, offering seats to old people can show our good manners, which leaves deep good impression on other people.
However, others are strongly against it. Their reasons are as follows. In the first place, in some foreign cultures, it is not polite to do that because it shows we don’t believe the old people can do things by themselves, which tells them they are too old. What’s more, this behavior doesn’t suit the concept of equality advocated in the contemporary society.
Personally speaking, I firmly support it. When I help the old, they are so grateful that they thank me again and again, which makes me happy as well. Where there is a willing hand, there is warmth. Sometimes it is just such little things that will make a big difference. So we should be ready to provide our help at any time. The more good deeds we do, the more harmonious our society will be!
